Absolut eller relativ position/retning - adverbium eller ikke adverbium
Hvor? (Where?) can be a difficult question in Danish. Absolute position/direction is expressed more or less like in English:
Jeg bor i København (I live in Copenhagen, absolute position)
Jeg skal til København (I am going to Copenhagen, absolute direction)
But if you want to express position/direction relative to here or some other place - which Danes seem obsessed with - you'll have to ad a small adverb. The small adverbs come in pairs - no ending for for direction (or transition), and -e ending for place (or steady state). The difference the two forms is parallel to the difference between accusative and dative in German and Slavian nouns. The pairs are: hen/henne, hjem/hjemme, op/oppe, ned/nede, ind/inde, ud/ude, over/ovre, om/omme.
Fill in the gab with 0 for no adverb, no ending for relative direction and -e ending for relative place in the box.
